We are thrilled to offer Exosomes – a groundbreaking regenerative treatment designed to enhance the skin’s appearance and cellular function. Exosomes stimulate collagen production, reduce pigmentation and inflammation, support skin repair, strengthen skin structure, improve firmness and elasticity, and promote angiogenesis. Offering long-term anti-aging benefits, this treatment is ideal for tired, aged, dull, damaged, acne-prone, or pigmented skin and is also effective in stimulating hair growth.
At The Harbourside Clinic, we utilise Purasomes, distributed by Dermafocus UK.
Purasomes are infused into the skin using microneedling or Plason Infusion, both of these modalities create channels within the skin and stimulate a cellular response. Each treatment delivers 20 billion exosomes in their purest form, along with 20 potent growth factors. These microscopic molecules act as messengers, resetting cellular activity and enhancing cell renewal at peak performance levels.
The Microneedling Advantage
We prefer microneedling with eDS as the method of application. This technique creates small channels and microtrauma in the skin, which triggers the body’s wound-healing cascade, stimulating collagen and elastin production. These channels also allow Purasomes to penetrate the skin’s surface effectively, delivering critical biological molecules directly to target cells.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are Exosomes?
Exosomes are nano-vesicles that carry lipids, nucleic acids, and proteins, including cytokines and growth factors. These biological molecules are delivered to target cells, aiding in tissue regeneration and repair. At The Harbourside Clinic, we use Purasomes, derived from organic bovine colostrum collected several hours postpartum. Purasomes combine exosomes with 20 potent growth factors, hyaluronic acid, amino acids, vitamins, and coenzymes. Using AMPLEX Plus, a patented purification technique, Purasomes deliver the highest quality exosomes and growth factors, making them a superior choice.
What happens during the treatment?
A local anesthetic cream is applied 30 minutes before microneedling. After microneedling, Purasomes are applied to the skin and left to absorb over the next 6–8 hours. The treatment concludes with a Celluma LED mask applied to the face and neck.
Is it painful?
This is a non-invasive treatment administered via microneedling or Plason Infusion. The application of a local anesthetic cream ensures the procedure is pain-free.
How many treatments will I need?
Depending on your skin's condition and age, an initial course of 3–4 treatments spaced three weeks apart is recommended. This can be followed by 3–5 monthly maintenance sessions.
How long does it take to see results?
Improvements in skin quality can be seen within a few weeks. Full results, including the transformation of Type 3 collagen (initially laid down) into stronger Type 1 collagen, typically take around three months.
